Welcome to Greenhouseipm.org

This site presents up-to-date information on Integrated Pest Management (IPM) and biological control (biocontrol) in greenhouses. It is a  compilation of the most current information, written in plain language as far as possible. It provides detailed descriptions of pests, biocontrol agents (BCA’s) and how to use them within an IPM program.

In its initial format it focuses on three key pests – whiteflies, thrips and aphids – and how to control them. The site will eventually evolve to encompass all common insect and mite pests, as well as diseases, in greenhouse crops.

How to use the site:

  • You can use the tabs above (or the buttons below!) to find a pest of interest or learn more about a specific BCA
  • To keep up to date, check out the News and Events section, as well as the link to the ONFloriculture Blog
  • Regularly check the News and Events section for any new information on biocontrol or IPM that’s added to the site
  • For access to the latest scientific articles on greenhouse pests, biocontrol and pest management, click on the Science Feed.

The Quebec Institute for the Development of Ornamental Horticulture (IQDHO), in collaboration with the Quebec Ministry of Agriculture, Fisheries and Food (MAPAQ), have developed a francophone website on biological control in greenhouses: www.iqdho.com/luttebio.
